Our Date.... with Harrison!

Kurt and I took Harrison on a Daddy and Mommy date! We thought it would be good for him to have some time with us before his birthday! It was nice and we all had a great time! So hard to believe he is 4!!!!

Couldn't be a "Daddy and Mommy Date" without Daddy and Mommy!

Harrison sees tortillas!!!!

Harrison decides he wants one of these at home! (But only for corn tortillas, of course!)

Happy Birthday, Harrison!!!

Harrison's 4th Birthday Party!

"You have saved our lives... we are eternally grateful" ... oh wait... Brian ate you.

Harrison blows out the candles!

Sean lets Mellissa top him with a bow- because he is such a gift to be around!

Harrison loves the pictures from his Grandma Lyle!

Our crazy family!

Carter and Kurt talk about Harrison's new Toy Story 3 Train!

Sean was SO excited that BOTH of Harrison's Grandmas sent him gifts, too!

Brian and Sean =)

Harrison demands... er, requests... his next gift to open. LOL!

Harrison LOVES the gift Carter picked for him! "Hut Hut Huts!" (AKA: Toy Story toy soldiers!)

Kurt and Brian doing what Dads do best: build stuff! Here they are putting together toys!

We found Harrison like this at bedtime... wanting to sleep in his Buzz Lightyear suit and playing with his "Hut Huts!" (Hut Huts are so named because of the sound they make when marching in the Toy Story movies... Hut 2, 3, 4)

Harrison's cake. Gluten-Free and decorated to resemble Zurg's planet... complete with aliens!

We cant believe our little Harrison turned FOUR today! WOW! It seems like just yesterday when I brought him into the world! I can remember the nurses and doctors telling me it would be awhile, and I told them HE IS COMING NOW! Harrison has always done things on his own time, and never done things in the conventional way. I am so thankful to be his mother, he makes me laugh every single day! I love giving his sweet face kisses and giving him tons of hugs! I love you, Harrison!!!!

Carter

Here is the Carter song....

Carterman

Carterman

He does things that no other can.

Carterman

Carterman

He does things that no other can.

*start dancing like CRAZY!!!*

He's mah Carterman

Carterman

He does things that no other can.

Carterman

Carterman

HE'S MY LITTLE MANLY-MAN!

... it goes along with the same tune to the Deidy Boy song I sang Carter as an infant... it was my very first Mommy song =)

Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

Who's my little Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

It is Carter Lyle

Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

I love my little Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

Deidy Boy

I love my Carter Lyle!

Yeah... it isnt much, but it is JUST FOR CARTER!

Pre-Birthday Package!

"I GET SPACE SHIP PAJAMAS!!!!!" Harrison loves pajamas!!!

Harrison's Grandma and Grandpa Lyle sent him a big box of birthday gifts! We were nice and let him open a few of them today =)

Kurt reads Harrison his new book!

No... it is not bedtime... but Harrison asked to wear these at 3:30pm! Mommy let him. He added the helmet... we suppose now he is ready for anything!

Safety is our number one concern...

I hate ... H A T E ... booster seats. I love 5 point harness seats! However, with 3 kids and only room for 2 seats, what are we going to do? Brian was sweet and let me borrow his car on Friday... I was worried because it had *gasp* a booster seat. Kurt figured out how to make it safer....

General Conference

The kids take turns getting tossed onto the bed by Dad!

The 180th Semiannual General Conference was this weekend. We LOVE the LDS General Conference! It is so inspiring to hear all the speakers! Break time is a thing to love, too- as we spend it just messing around together! All of these pictures are during the Saturday Session break. The kids even invited our kitty, Amelie, to watch with us!

The boys ask Amelie if she would like to come out and play.... she said no.

The boys try and tickle Daddy!!! ... they end up being the tickled ones pretty darn quick!

Crazy kids!

"Brothers love each other" is something I say to the kids A LOT! They really do love one another- as they hug in this photo!

LAST TOSS!

Legoland, NV!

The boys see the first tote and go CRAZY!

When we brought home Carter's Toy Story 3 Lego Train all the boys went CRAZY for it and wanted to play Legos! We had a few Lego cars around, but we didnt have any giant playsets... or did we??? In the garage, tucked into storage, are 2 totes full of Legos and Micro Machines. When I say totes, I mean LARGE totes. In fact, one is nicknamed "the casket" because of its gigantic size!

Living in a house of 6 can get pretty nuts- Harrison took a break and went to his hiding place.

The toys in these totes are Brian's- ones he has saved since his own childhood. Sean has never seen them because... well.... its a giant mess when you get them out... and Legos take a LOT of space and a LOT of time to put together to enjoy.

Brian shows his son, Sean, how to build a police boat!

So.... I got them out! THE KIDS WENT NUTS! Brian joined the fun and built with Sean, Carter played with his train, Harrison enjoyed Micro Machines- they all had a BLAST!!!!

Awwwww- Kurt and I, happy to be surrounded by joyful chaos!
