Play Time!

As our week with Cameron came to an end, we found ourselves spending more time relaxing. Taking the boys to an open field is always a good time. We brought the soccer ball, lightsabers, and water bottles, and prepaired to see the kids play hard! Cameron and Kurt played with the boys, while I sat it out. Cameron enjoyed playing soccer (he has fancy footwork!). Kurt played Star Wars. The night came to a close when I took a lightsaber to the head and ten minutes later a soccer ball to the face. Yeahhhhh.... owwwwww.

We were all so sad when Cameron had to leave! When he arrived, the first thing Harrison said to him was, "We love you, Cameron!!!" It was SO sweet! Carter insisted on holding Cameron's hand everywhere he went, and they loved having him here with us!!!

**Update: Cameron left two weeks ago, and Carter still calls the spare room, "Cameron's Room!" LOL! We all love Cameron so much!

Life at the Pool

My kids LOVE the pool. Harrison enjoys splashing around in shallow waters, and Carter loves jumping from the high dive. Carter insisted on bringing Cameron to the pool with us- then insisted everyone jump off the high dive (Harrison was excluded). We all splashed, swam, and had a great time in the water!

Cameron's Day Out

One of the boys' favorite activities is going to the driving range and following with a dollar movie. They adore it! The only way they could love it more is if Cameron came along! I loved watching the boys golf, and in one of the pictures you can see where Carter is watching Cameron and ready to give him tips as needed, lol! Harrison enjoys golfing, but wants to swing his own way. Hey, that's okay! Follow golf with some Kung Foo Panda 2 and you have a perfect afternoon!

Cha-cha-cha-changes!

WOW! Who knew life could change SO much SO fast? Please allow me to create a timeline...

Summer passed too quickly! Kurt worked full time and I finished 12 pre-med credits at the U (part of which were done by going to Uganda, Africa!), so we didn't get a lot of family time. We were thankful at the end of the summer when our family friend, Cameron Peery, came to visit us for a week- his visit FORCED us to slow down! It was funny, because when life slowed we really realized how much we were missing...

Friday, August 20th we went to buy books... I just COULDNT get there... Kurt and I knew we had some praying to do!

Saturday August 21st we prayed together and we knew that taking fall semester off was the right thing for our family.

Monday August 23rd I dropped all my classes, emailed everyone necessary, and started to enjoy time with Kurt- it was our 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! (of our Temple Sealing =) )

Wednesday August 25th Kurt was told of some openings in the Reno area for Walgreens Managers, and decided to call.

Thursday August 26th Kurt was interviewed.

Friday August 27th more calls were made- this time by the District Leader in Reno- to all of Kurt's references.

Saturday August 28th Kurt was offered a position!

WOW! Talk about FAST WORK!

We still dont know our exact moving date. The Reno district wants him fast and the SLC district doesnt want to let him go... so, we are stuck in limbo for the time being. But while we are waiting we decided to pack up the unnecessary items in the house! The boys are so excited! Carter and Harrison woke us at 7:30 Sunday and proudly showed us the boxes they "packed" in their room! Pretty much their entire toy box had been emptied into boxes and the boys were thrilled! We patted them on the back, told them good job, and explained we cant leave just yet!

When we move to Reno, we will be moving in with my brother, Brian, and his little boy, Sean. Our kids are THRILLED! We are so excited! Carter and Harrison have both been chanting "We are going to Sean's house!" for days!

The boys have been trying to keep busy. Today has been my first official day as a homemaker, and with a little help from my little men, it has been pretty good =) Carter and Harrison have been helping by cleaning their room and doing laundry!

Carter tells me he is going to clean his room... but I find him playing computer games instead... I wonder where he gets this from? *poke Kurt*... a few minutes later he finished cleaning =)

Harrison shows me his "crazy eyes" after we took laundry to the dryers. Funny boy!!!

*I wanted to help my brother because he called me, and for the first time he was emotional and begging for help not knowing what to do because his ex left him with their son. I was so angry about the stolen scholarship for an entertainment system- reverse culture shock hit me super hard and walking into a $4k set of things angered me greatly and threatened to harm the newly formed re-alliance, the honeymoon phase isn't always perfect. Kurt immediately looked to transfer to move with me because I was going with or without him- THAT was why we needed to pray together, my brother needed my help. Isn't this such a more adorable way of explaining it? This is how bad I wanted to be back home with the boys- I even gave him credit for being part of the prayerful process, as if it was his idea. It was mine, and it was a big prayer because it meant me going back to keeping the home and trusting we were really, truly, starting over.  9/27/2026
