Halloweek!

This week has been CRAZY! All the kids talk about is Halloween! We talk about pumpkins, bats, and trick or treating. We read special books all about Halloween spooks (thank you for those, Grandma Lyle!). We repeatedly "try on" costumes! Of course... the boys are going to be Buzz and Woody from Toy Story- such fun!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Harrison!!!

Harrison's 4th Birthday Party!

"You have saved our lives... we are eternally grateful" ... oh wait... Brian ate you.

Harrison blows out the candles!

Sean lets Mellissa top him with a bow- because he is such a gift to be around!

Harrison loves the pictures from his Grandma Lyle!

Our crazy family!

Carter and Kurt talk about Harrison's new Toy Story 3 Train!

Sean was SO excited that BOTH of Harrison's Grandmas sent him gifts, too!

Brian and Sean =)

Harrison demands... er, requests... his next gift to open. LOL!

Harrison LOVES the gift Carter picked for him! "Hut Hut Huts!" (AKA: Toy Story toy soldiers!)

Kurt and Brian doing what Dads do best: build stuff! Here they are putting together toys!

We found Harrison like this at bedtime... wanting to sleep in his Buzz Lightyear suit and playing with his "Hut Huts!" (Hut Huts are so named because of the sound they make when marching in the Toy Story movies... Hut 2, 3, 4)

Harrison's cake. Gluten-Free and decorated to resemble Zurg's planet... complete with aliens!

We cant believe our little Harrison turned FOUR today! WOW! It seems like just yesterday when I brought him into the world! I can remember the nurses and doctors telling me it would be awhile, and I told them HE IS COMING NOW! Harrison has always done things on his own time, and never done things in the conventional way. I am so thankful to be his mother, he makes me laugh every single day! I love giving his sweet face kisses and giving him tons of hugs! I love you, Harrison!!!!

Legoland, NV!

The boys see the first tote and go CRAZY!

When we brought home Carter's Toy Story 3 Lego Train all the boys went CRAZY for it and wanted to play Legos! We had a few Lego cars around, but we didnt have any giant playsets... or did we??? In the garage, tucked into storage, are 2 totes full of Legos and Micro Machines. When I say totes, I mean LARGE totes. In fact, one is nicknamed "the casket" because of its gigantic size!

Living in a house of 6 can get pretty nuts- Harrison took a break and went to his hiding place.

The toys in these totes are Brian's- ones he has saved since his own childhood. Sean has never seen them because... well.... its a giant mess when you get them out... and Legos take a LOT of space and a LOT of time to put together to enjoy.

Brian shows his son, Sean, how to build a police boat!

So.... I got them out! THE KIDS WENT NUTS! Brian joined the fun and built with Sean, Carter played with his train, Harrison enjoyed Micro Machines- they all had a BLAST!!!!

Awwwww- Kurt and I, happy to be surrounded by joyful chaos!

Let the good times roll!!!!!

Sean plays with Lego cars!
Harrison decides he is going to be Mr.Potato Head!

Carter cant wait to play with his new train!

Carter has been working REALLY hard to earn his Toy Story 3 Lego Train. Yesterday was the day we went to the store and brought it home!!!! He was SO excited!!! It took Mom 4 hours to put the train together, but it was worth it! The boys had a great time playing today- SO NICE!

I love being home. It is so hard... really, the hardest thing I have ever done. I had forgotten the physical and mental exertion that being a homemaker requires, but I know it is all worth it!

I don't get paychecks, but I get to kiss my little boys' faces a hundred times a day.

I don't get praise from superiors, but I get random "fank-you!"s from my little men.

I don't get lunch breaks, spa trips, or African vacations... but I get SO MUCH MORE with every single conversation I have with my children.

I am so happy to be with them. I knew they were great kids, but I had no idea just HOW great they were!

I have so many dreams for them... but my dreams are not about what professions they will choose, what kinds of homes they will own, or anything of that sort. My dream for them is that they always know how much I love them. I want them to be happy. I want them to know Kurt and I love them unconditionally. I want them to know that our Heavenly Father knows them, loves them, and wants nothing more than for them to return home to him. I want them to know that they are such wonderful blessings and I am honored to be their mother.

I love you!

Two boys
one... two
Two boys
You and You
Two boys
buckets of fun
Two boys for everyone!

Buzz Lightyear to the RESCUE!

Zurg gets blasted with Buzz Lightyear's lasers!

Carter made this for Harrison- we did not help AT ALL. GO CARTER!

Harrison is no longer Harrison... he is BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!

Kurt takes a break to play Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger! Kurt was Zurg, of course.
